Tapered roller bearings use conical rollers guided by a back-face rib on the cone. These bearings are capable of  taking high radial loads and axial loads in one direction.

Tapered roller bearings can be separated into components:

Outer ring (cup), and the combined inner ring and roller assembly (cone). As the name implies, the rolling elements and raceways (of outer and inner rings) of these bearing are made with a tapered profile.

Tapered Roller Bearings are further classified into:Single Row,Double Row and Four Row.
